Cinema Party Information

The below information forms part of my Terms of Business.
Please do not proceed with a booking unless you have read and agreed to the following.

Client Responsibilities & Requirements

Cinema hire is different to teepee setups. It requires client involvement with equipment setup and operation.

Please do NOT hire the cinema if you are not comfortable using and navigating basic technology. This may include:

• Navigating the projector and Fire TV

• Installing updates if prompted

• Adjusting settings

• Following basic troubleshooting steps if required

Setup Requirements

• The movie cannot be played until it is dark. In summer, this is often after 8:00pm.

• At delivery, I will:

  • Connect the projector to your WiFi

  • Sign into the Firestick

  • Demonstrate how to navigate the Fire TV system

  • Set up screen and chairs

• When it cools down and becomes dark, you will be required to:

  • Move the projector and speakers outside (can't be left out in the heat)

  • Plug in all equipment

  • Set up the screen position

  • Start the movie (I provide very precise/ simplified instructions on getting connected)

Connectivity & Troubleshooting

Technology is not always predictable.

If connection issues arise, you must have someone present who is capable of following a troubleshooting guide.

Examples may include:

• Reconnecting to WiFi

• Restarting the Firestick or projector

• Using a mobile hotspot if your outdoor WiFi signal is not strong enough

I am available by phone to assist with troubleshooting. However, beyond the basic steps outlined in the brochure, resolving internet or device issues remotely can be limited.

Streaming Services

• You may sign into your own streaming services on the Firestick.

• I can assist with signing you into Netflix or Disney+ at setup.

• If you wish to use Prime Video, you must log into your own Prime account.

• Prime accounts must be logged out at the end of the hire period.

Equipment Care & Bond Conditions

The client is fully responsible for the care and protection of all hired equipment for the duration of the hire period.

To prevent damage:

• The projector, speaker, blower, chairs, cushions and rugs must be brought undercover overnight, regardless of the weather forecast.

• Equipment must not be left exposed to dew, moisture, rain or sprinkler systems.

Failure to adequately protect equipment from moisture or weather exposure may result in damage.

If drying, cleaning or repair of equipment is required due to improper storage or exposure, the bond will be withheld to cover associated costs.
